Output Channel
Any modality through which the game communicates information to the player, visual, audio, haptic, or motion. Redundant output across channels improves accessibility.
In games, this means
A low-health warning delivered only through a red screen vignette fails colourblind players and anyone playing without a screen. The same warning delivered via visual + earcon + haptic pulse reaches players on all three channels. Redundant output is the foundation of accessible feedback design.
