Fat Finger Problem
The UX challenge of designing touch targets large enough that imprecise finger input reliably activates the intended element rather than an adjacent one.
In games, this means
Apple's HIG recommends minimum 44×44pt touch targets. In games, action buttons crammed together for visual density routinely fail this, players activate the wrong ability at critical moments. The hit area of a button should be significantly larger than its visible graphic to account for the occluded touch point (the finger covers what it taps).
