Information Architecture
The structural design of information within a game, how menus, systems, and options are organized, labeled, and made navigable.
In games, this means
Burying audio settings three levels deep in a menu, or splitting weapon stats across two different screens, is poor information architecture. Players should be able to find anything within 2–3 navigation steps.
