Hitbox
The invisible collision shape attached to a character, projectile, or object that defines where attacks can connect. Hitbox accuracy is a core fairness and feel issue.
In games, this means
A sword's hitbox that extends 20% further than its visible blade tip makes hits feel undeserved. A bullet that visually grazes a target but registers no hit breaks trust. Hitboxes that match the visible game feel fair; those that don't create a category of player complaints labelled 'cheap' or 'broken'.
