Error Recovery

The ease with which a player can identify, understand, and recover from a mistake. Good error recovery is forgiving; bad error recovery is punishing without clarity.

In games, this means

A confirmation prompt before permanently deleting a character is error recovery. Losing 45 minutes of progress because autosave was off and the game didn't warn you, is the opposite.
